• A site visit or virtual consultation may be scheduled to gain a better understanding of the space before proceeding to the next step.

• Understanding the client’s aspirations, desired themes, and functional requirements for the garden.
• Reviewing the site’s characteristics, including soil quality, drainage, sunlight exposure, and existing structures or planting.
• Exploring design inspirations, material preferences, colour palettes, and potential plant selections.
• Addressing budget expectations, project timelines, and any logistical considerations.

Following the meeting, David will access the site conditions and client requirements before preparing a formal design proposal.

• The scope of the design work, including initial concepts, sketches, and full design plans.
• The design process timeline, giving an estimated duration for conceptualization and revisions.
• Cost breakdowns for design development, including hand-drawn or digital 3D renderings, planting plans, and material specifications.
• Any additional services such as lighting design, irrigation planning, or structural elements that may be required.

Once the client approves the quotation, the design phase begins.

• Concept Design Presentation – David provides scaled drawings, mood boards, and potential layouts to visualize the proposed garden.
• Revisions & Adjustments – Clients have the opportunity to review and refine elements of the design based on their preferences and feedback.
• Final Design Approval – Once the client is satisfied with the proposed concept, the final master plan is prepared, incorporating precise details on layout, materials, and planting schemes.

At this stage, the design is fully defined and ready for implementation.

• Hardscaping Elements – Paths, patios, decking, driveways, retaining walls, pergolas, and water features.
• Soft scaping Elements – Soil preparation, turf installation, and planting arrangements.
• Site Preparation & Earthworks – Any necessary excavation, grading, or drainage solutions.
• Material Selection & Sourcing – High-quality stone, wood, and other landscaping materials recommended for durability and aesthetics.

This quotation ensures transparency in pricing and allows clients to review and approve the landscaping scope before proceeding.

• Planting Selection & Installation – Sourcing and planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal plants, tailored to the site’s climate and soil conditions.
• Garden Structures & Features – Custom-built elements such as pergolas, water features, garden walls, and outdoor furniture.
• Lighting Design & Installation – Strategic placement of garden lighting, including ambient lighting, pathway lights, and feature spotlights to enhance aesthetics and functionality.
• Irrigation & Maintenance Solutions – Recommendations for automated irrigation systems and ongoing garden care to ensure long-term sustainability.

Once the client approves this final quotation, the garden build phase commences, bringing the design to life with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail.
